What is Amazon Prime Day and how it started?

A Prime day is a sale event exclusively held for Amazon Prime members. Prime members are the shoppers who pay Rs.999 as a yearly fee as Prime Member. The first-ever Prime Day was hosted as Amazon's 20th birthday celebration on 15th July 2015. It was a one-day event spanning nine countries including the U.S., the UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and Austria.
